It’s time to hang! Join us at the Medium Festival of Photography this Saturday

Oh the pain and agony we suffer trying to find an audience for our work.

The long-winded artist statements, the hobnobbing at galleries trying to make the right friend to maybe get a chance at seeing your work on a wall one day.

We’re tipping that paradigm on its head this weekend. Not only are YOU the artist, but YOU are also the curator.

That’s because we’re working with the Medium Festival of Photography to present a community print hang on Saturday, March 22, at Bread and Salt. Artists can arrive as early as 9 a.m. to hang a print, and share their work with festival goers.

It’s easy to participate. Simply bring an unframed print, up to 11x14, to the festival, find the spot you want to hang it, and then check out the great imagery you’re featured amongst. Throughout the day, the public is invited to view the work, while also hearing free talks from featured artists.

From 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., we’ll host an afternoon BYOB event. Grab a six pack, your favorite glass of wine, your NA drink of choice, or grab a coffee from Provecho!, which will be providing a coffee cart for socializing convenience.

At 4 p.m., the print hang will turn into a print swap! Arrive with a print of your own — leave with a great print from another community member.

See you there!
