Intro to Black and White Film Developing

  • Safelight Labs 1357 7th Ave San Diego United States (map)

Join us for a Black and White Film Development class!

Learn how to load a roll of black and white film in to a SLR (single lens reflex) film camera, how to operate all of the dials and switches (aperture, shutter speed, ISO) and how to read the in-camera meter. We will then go out for a quick photo walk and shoot an entire roll of film in and around the downtown area of San Diego. Once each person has completed their roll of film, we will make our way back to the Safelight Labs development lab and learn how to develop your film by hand using the proper chemicals. Once the film has been developed and properly dried, we will scan the images on to a computer and you’re then able to share your results with your friends and family.

Cost is $75 per person.

Limit 5 people per workshop

Cost includes camera rental, film, developing, and scanning.
